I was so excited to decorate for Christmas this year with the decorations I bought the day after Christmas last year. I was especially excited about my tree skirt (on the bottom) that I made yesterday (with the help of my Mom, thanks mom!) from a table cloth I bought last year when I couldn't find a skirt I wanted for a decent price. I really like how it turned out. I'm also way excited about my plate holder. The pray sign is in there because I havn't found anything for the third place yet. I'm hoping to find a cute sign soon. The santa/snow man statue I got yesterday because I loved them and they were 25% off. Though I'm not as talented as many people who's blogs I look at, our house feels christmasy. Oh, I didn't post a picture of our tree because Monster got into it again after I fixed it and it doesn't look quite right.

We gave Leon his Christmas presant today. It was probably my favorite part of Christmas so far. For those Parsons who contributed but couln'd attend, here's the video. It's kind of long, sorry, but I didn't want to miss anything. It's not a fabulous recording but you can see how happy he is. It's really sweet.

These are some of the mountains out in Arco/Moore area

So we did a $5,000 new TV instal out in Hammer (sp) Idaho. and while I was out at the van unloading some of the smaller stuff (surround sound and Blu-ray) while Fred was with the customer I see this cat, and said a little hello to it and that was it for then. later we came back out to the van to get the TV and there was that cat sitting on the dashboard in the van just chilling. So I go to get my camera while it jumped down, so I got this picture.

Then as I was taking pictures out pops this second cat. and then a third was hanging around the back doors.

Part of the family at thanksgiving, and I caught Alie off guard. haha

Dad was pretty darn beat. he just sat down and then whamo! he was out like a light.

Ellie playing peak a boo with the camera, way cute.

I didn't quite get the picture but Sarah was just zoned out with her nose resting on the garbage can staring at its contents. I got the camera out just as she pulled away.

Brett heating up the oil to make some fried turkey!!!

Monster is a monster and lives in our Christmas tree. As well our house is covered in tree needles. on the kitchen floor, bathroom, tops of cupboards, in the bed and on the couches.

Monster managed to get on top of the door in our bedroom. He always finds new perches to hang out on

This vid clip is hilarious. Total typical cat trying to act cool while being absolutely ridiculous. If this doesnt work you'll find it under "cat box" on you tube with the chinese version

This is my work during the day, at night I work at Gringos as a waiter. Basically Fred and I drive this big Mercedes powered blue van driving one another Crazy, and then get into a little tussle here and there. Picking up big screens and really heavy cabinet or projection TV's. This picture was take on the Jackson Pass, we go there every thursday on service calls.

This is Alison and I as "Mariko" a Japanese Princess who at one Time married Wolverine. And this is the costume I made which I later explaine

These are some of the pumpkins we made at Fred's party. This one Fred did of his own design of the transformer symbol, which I really like.
This is Charles a big one eating two little ones. I think that it is quite artistic.
Monster found a spool of thread and made a maze of a mess. I started to role it back up and then noticed that it was woven in and out of the table legs and chair.
This is Kirk and Lindsey VanAllen. Kirk dressed up as "Troy Parson". He had a fake Mac book, a model Transformer, a big belt buckle, marvel shirt, and two stuffed "Sugar Gliders". Lindsey and their kid on the way went as a jack-o-lanter.
Charles and Nancy Teitjen as a Lady Bug and as his Cousin "Carson Teitjen"
Josh Crandell and his Girlfriend as the Incredibles, they made their own shirts.
Fred and Nita Eaton as "Calvin and Hobbs" Fred complete with dyed yellow hair and red chucks. Nita mad her own costume out of a pattern Fred found
Kevin and Audrey Fuller as Ignacio and the Nun from "Nacho Libre" Kevin came up with his costume a couple days before, and they turned out real well.
This is Carson Tietjen and his wife Shaleena as Batman and the Nurse Joker
This is my Halloween Costume "Wolverine" the comic book version. I made this costume with a little help. the Gloves Jan Barnes made and my mom helped me with the pattern to the shorts and gloves. My Dad helped me start the stripes with a sharpie. I think that I'll have to go over it with paint, since the marker is smearing to other places. I made the mask out of a black foam sheet. I used a space bag, heat gun, and a plaster mold of my face. the boots I sowed out of  vinyl and foam. and the yellow part is a altered lycra cat-suit suit.

This is my "Classic Wolverine" pose from the comic books
I think that I'll wear this suit again for the next two years. and then I'll Make a Plastic Transformer suit and then the Comic version of Nightcrawler.

Well, not too much has been going on at our house. Troy is working at Merlin's now with Fred delivering tv's all over creation. He still works at Gringo's a couple nights a week. It keeps him pretty busy but most days he enjoys it. I'm back in school. I'm excited to finally be starting into my major classes. It's amazing how much more interesting school is when you start learning the things you signed up to learn.

This was just a fun picture of Jelli and Icarus. They come out at night and leave their baby in the cage so they can play.

When Troy's dad Leon found out I'd never caught a fish in my life, he offered to take us. On Labor day we went to Teton river.

Leon's fish- pretty good!

Troy caught a couple fish. This is one of them.
We all caught a few but let most of them go. These are the ones we kept and toted around the whole morning. Aren't fish disgusting? I hate them.

Ok, everyone has their fishing stories, and now I have one and I'm so excited. I caught a fish my first cast, a smallish one, then another one we let go. Then I didn't catch any and moved down river where I still didn't catch any. Then Leon came down river, but a new worm on my hook (I couldn't get the hang of it for the life of me. And it was so nasty I just couldn't) And he said "you better brace your feet because this is it, you're gonna catch a huge one". So I cast twice, and the third time I looked at him and said "Ok, this is it" I cast and caught the biggest fish of the day! It was 17 1/2 inches long. It was so exciting. (this was the good picture after I made all sorts of faces at how gross it was, but I was still way excited) After a few more hours of fishing we built a fire and cooked most of them right there on the bank. I hate fish, but this tasted soooo good. Thanks Leon for taking us!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

We made it a whole year! Yay! What a year it's been. We've found there are some advantages to being married as we've been able to do a lot of fun things together including some we've never done before. Here's a list of some things we get to do now that we're married:
  • Buy a bottomless popcorn bucket at the movie theater and eat as much as you want without having to pass it between ten people
  • cohabitate with exotic animals.
  • Go to the zoo and spend as long as you want looking at the otters and tigers
  • Move to a foreign country- or at least down south, which pretty much is foreign
  • live in a trailer park and like it
  • paint your walls cool colors
  • eat ice cream and french fries for dinner
  • Watch movies all night with your best friend without a curfew
  • flirt shamelessly
  • drink straight out of the carton
  • go to the temple together
  • Argue about silly things like the best way to wash the dishes
  • pillow fight
  • take those funny pictures in the booth at the mall
  • Try new recipies
  • Eat year old cake with crazy fondant frosting
  • Read comic books during breakfast, lunch AND dinner

A Trip to the Zoo

One thing we have in common is our love and fascination with other creatures. So as part of our anniversary holiday we went to the zoo. It was fun that we both got excited about the animals and no one was there to make fun of us.
Look, we're in the monkey cage!
Troy wasn't content with just watching the otters, he wanted to swim with them. So sad.
Taming the lion.
He's not so tame as we thought
Our anniversary hotel was right across from the Idaho Falls falls.

In front of the lemur cage.

We found an old man hiding in the trees.
This monkey had so much personality. He came up to greet us.
Sad little skunk monkey.
