Road Trip, a bit of bragging, and a Good Modern Laugh

Jordan and I took a road trip to Sacramento over the long weekend to go see Troy. We had a good long car ride and a really good time.

Look! Happy California cows like from the comercial!

No happy Nevada cows. Just unhappy hitchiking Nevada prisoners. Have I mentioned I hate Nevada? I think every tree-hugging-green-person should be forced to drive through Nevada for 8 hours. Maybe it would be a good wake up call that not everything is green and pretty and worth hugging.

Happy couple in California!

I realized many years ago that it's not actually summer until I get a good back sunburn. Last year we didn't have summer because my back never saw the sun. We're already off to a good start this year. Check out that line!

Here's the bragging part. I choreographed this dance (it's not me dancing it). I'm pretty proud, though it didn't turn out quite like I envisioned in my head.

Here's the laugh part: this is my first modern dance class ever doing my first modern dance ever written by a crazy-energetic crazy lady (substitute teacher). It's ok if you laugh, I laugh at it, just don't laugh too hard!

Sushi, Glorious Sushi

Other than Alison my favorite thing in the world is food. And better than just regular food is Sea food, oriental food, and Buffet. I tried to put all of them together last weekend, but now Alison has made it clear to me that she doesn't ever want to go there again. I guess the sea food and smell really got to her. Now if she only did like Sea food, we would have to throw swimming into the equation somewhere to really make it all perfect. Only a few people out there can have it all I guess. However, the Sushi WAS INCREDIBLE! There was this entire bar dedicated just to the perfection that is Sushi. there were so many, I don't think I even tried them all. One had cream cheese in it, the orange one in the picture is caviar (so good). One was an egg roll inside, others had all different kinds of raw fish that were surprisingly delicious.
Allan, Chad, Dan Jones, and Dave.

Chad and I discovered this place three weeks ago trying to find somewhere that had good food, and a lot of it. This place is amazing! they had all you could eat snow crab, and pepper crab that was actually fried in its shell. All different kinds of shrimp, dumplings, and stir fry. All kinds of authentic I don't even know, they had chicken feet (tasted good surprisingly) a mongolian grill, pizza, fried chicken, and jello for those who only like american food. crazy soups and great soft serve Ice cream and yummy deserts. This place truly is Number one Buffet.
Every weekend the office gets together to do a Bar-BQ and relax. And lately I've been know as the good stake consultant for making good stakes.

Single again...but not?

So most of you know Troy is in California selling security systems and I'm in Rexburg finishing up my last semester before I graduate. It's pretty lonely, and I miss him tons. Most of these pictures are for him (I love you Babe!)

Here's your poor plant. Sorry, I picked off all the brown part and this is what was left. Don't worry, I think it will grow back.

Here's Jelly. It was hard to get a good picture of her two joey "lumps" but if you look closely you can kind of see them (for those of you who ask me how we know there are two, they're not like regular people, they're already born and you can watch them growing in the pouch)

Monster is my companion right now. I spend time with my family and friends, of course, but good ol' Monster keeps the house from feeling so empty. He sure is funny: He greets me at the door, checks out every stranger who come into the house, sits across from me at the breakfast table, pounces on me from behind the corner, and keeps me company at night. He doesn't replace Troy, but he's nice to have around

He's a good kitty.

Projects:

During the week between school (our "vacation") I actually got a few things done. Here's a few of them:

I know it doesn't look like much, but I got around to making a bed skirt and it hides the box spring quite well. So, though it didn't add a lot, it makes a big difference to me.

I FINALLY got some pictures in frames and up on my wall from our wedding. I was always jeleous when I went to friend's houses and they had their wedding pictures everywhere. It only took me a year and a half. I need something else instead of the prayer sign, but I havn't found anything yet.

I got to take the child sewing class at school. It was SO nice to have a class that I could see the product of my labor and not just read and take a test. Here are some of my projects. I'm quite proud of them.

The Paint guy must've had a creative break.
on my way to sacramento.
These are our pretty Doaffadils.

I had to stop on my way down Donner Pass a few times, this time to let the engine cool off. And this is what was going on in the background. I was completely alone on an exit ramp I might add.
