This started out as my "Ecroce" (sp?) french for pealed, but became a cookie jar instead. The assignment is a study of the anatomy of the bones and muscles. It had such a fun pose that I had to keep it a "bare bone" study instead. I call it "Still Thinking About It..."

Brett and Heidi asked me to make a Tv for Heidi's Mrs. Idaho pageant. She is doing a "I love Lucy" theme. So, she needed an antique Tv prop. I made this starting out with blue foam board as the skeleton. then the wood venire was added, then stained and sealed. It took me a long time to figure out what I could possibly use for brass pin striping for detailing. I went to DI looking for some old furniture to take the brass detailing from it, but instead I came home with some brass picture frames instead which turned out better than hoped for. This also has a LED light inside to give the TV illuminance.

Happy Valentines Day!

I love celebrating obscure holidays. Life gets too monotonous and little holidays make it a little more bearable. Next year I even hope to decorate.
I came home from work to this beautiful bouquet from my sweet husband for Valentines day. I'm so spoiled. Hope everyone had a good V-day, too!

This Picture's for you, Haley Hargrave

Dear Haley,
I really didn't wan't my picture taken, but I wanted to show you that I'm starting to show because you asked me last time I talked to you if I was and I never get to see you because you're so far away in Texas. Now people are finally starting to notice, I even wore a maternity shirt for the first time today. Thought I would let you know. Luv ya!

And the Gender is....

I never cared what we had first, but then when we found out we were pregnant, for some reason I got my heart set on a boy. It got so bad that I was even scared that irony would win the day and the ultra sound would reveal a girl just because I wanted a boy. Relief and excitement filled me as the technician exclaimed "Gender!" (she was pointing things out on the screen to us- "arm", "leg", "foot", "gender") and pointed out the three legs (she seemed kind of shy about it, but I was oblivious and made her point it all out again). We (and I) are SO excited it's a boy!
