Otto Fredrick Parson

Troy and I joked that this baby wouldn't come until he finished his big sewing project for the big fashion show on saturday night. He finished it Saturday morning (after literally working on it all night), showered, styled his hair, and we went to the doctor to be checked. He didn't think I was in labor- I guess I'm I need to crank up the dramatics next time. Luckily the Dr believed me (I was nervous he would send us home) and sent us up to the hospital. The rest was pretty smooth sailing. At one point I think I said "This kid better come soon because I'm starving!" and he came not long after that. Troy even made it to his fashion show. We are SO happy he's here and part of our family. He was 6 lb 7 oz 18 inches long

Troy with his second son. He was there this time! Haha! They were still fixing me up in the background.

Me and my second son after I caught my breath.

Great Grandpa Jack and Great Grandma Barnes
Luckily we snapped this picture fast because he handed him back in about 2 seconds. Rockwell has been so sweet with him. He gives him kisses and shares his blankie with him. Don't get me wrong, he's having a hard time adjusting, but towards the baby he's been very sweet.

I had to post a picture of his sweet grey and orange going home outfit.

A Sad Farewell

I really need to stop underestimate the power of craigslist. Troy and i decided that the best thing for the cats would be to find them new homes since a few major moves seem to be on our horizon. Doubting anyone would want two adult cats we posted them on craigslist, KSL, and Rexburgswap. The next day Troy got a call from a young couple who wanted to come take a look. They went home with Bandit. The next day someone emailed. They went home with Monster. I wanted to call them and tell them "Just kidding". I wasn't ready to give up my Monster.

Today Troy got a text from the couple who took Bandit. They said "We just wanted to let you know Bandit is doing great. We could not have asked for a better cat" When I talked to the people who took Monster, they said he was adjusting well, they loved him and they like his attitude. So while we miss our kitties, it's a relief to know they went to good homes and are well taken care of.

Baby Projects

Since when does blogger put up your pictures in the order you upload them? Hmmm, Novel idea but now my pictures are backwards from what I meant to post. Oh well. Lovely shot of my 38 week belly to start things off.

This is Rockwell today. It's a little blurry but it cracks me up to I had to post it. He is so funny!
<

Here are a few of the things I've made for baby boy number 2:

His quilt front and back. You can kind of see my first attempt at free motion machine quilting. I'm terribly proud of it and had a great time doing it. I can't wait to try it again. I wanted to make a cowboy quilt for Rockwell but Troy wouldn't let me, so I made one for this baby and didn't ask Troy his opinion. I love it!

I made 2 of these minky blankets for him to tote around. Rockwell loves his and I love that there are two of them. It's hard to tell but there's black satin binding around the outside.

AAAAnd a hooded towel. Not very exciting but I love Rockwell's.

I also made an Easter basket and promptly buried it so I'll post pictures of it closer to Easter when I get all that stuff out.

Now I'm all projected out and bored out of my mind waiting on this kid to show up.

Our Weekend Update

Last weekend we went on a rare outing to Utah. We wanted to 1-test out our new wheels 2-get out of Rexburg 3- Go to Carson and Shellena's party for their baby and 4-Go to a baby blessing.

Rockwell thought he could get us there faster

The party was AMAZING! The food was so good and everything was decorated so cute as Dr. Suess. Wow! Here's the cake

How cute is this?! My things:

Who's that girl in the next picture? I don't recognize her... oh wait, that's me. I FORGOT to put make up on! We rushed out the door and I was going to put on make up as we drove from Holladay to Provo (1 hour drive) and with all the getting lost and what not I forgot. Not only did I forget, I was totally oblivious until the party was almost over and I had to go the bathroom. Gave myself a shock when I walked past that mirror. Anyway, as awful as it is, I had to post this next picture because there's another funny story to it. ... at the party there were 5 jars of candy and everyone guessed how many pieces were in each. My Grandma did this every christmas growing up and the only time I ever won was by default because the entire rest of the family cheated saw the number. That was a big year for me. (She would also put $5 in the bottom) So as i barely glanced at each one and put down random numbers on the blank scraps of paper I joked about losing this game all those years. Then I won three of them! and Troy won one! We took home 4 out of 5. Just so you know this is significant because it's our first big win ever. Sorry, long story.

This trip was significant because Troy and I decided to make a conscious improvement in our relationship and buy a GPS. It WILL save our marriage.

Sunday I got to see my Dynie and her new baby Emmalyn on her blessing day. It was so sweet. Here we are all grown up with our kids. CRAZY!

Back at home Rocky is such a sweetheart. He loves the kitties. It melts my heart to see him love them. Then the run away, but i caught one moment on camera and had to share.

Last but not least a belly shot. Ugghh. Since we had the camera out we finally took one. Here I am on Sunday before church 36 1/2 weeks along.

Troy's Birthday clear back in January

Soo.... Troy's birthday was a long time ago. But we did celebrate. A little. I think we went to dinner and on Sunday had a big home made dinner with family and ice cream cake. In this picture he looks like he's happy it's his birthday, but I think he's really laughing at the cake I tried to make

Tah da! the first ice cream cake attempt. Anywayz, it tasted good.

Some of the people who came to make his day special. Thanks for coming!

Still here

We're still here, still going to school, still growing, and still pregnant. I can't find the adapter for the camera to the computer, but as soon as I find it (hopefully long before this baby comes) I've got some fun pictures and updating to post. Bear with me!
